Job summary

OCBC Bank Malaysia is seeking an Application Support Analyst to maintain and enhance bank applications. You will work on Java or .NET based systems, providing Level 2 and 3 production support and collaborating with cross-border teams.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, root cause analysis, impact assessment, code-level fixes, and risk mitigation. A minimum of 3 years in application support is required; 24x7 standby on rotation is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in application support.
• Experience with Java or .NET applications.
• Knowledge of Linux/UNIX or Windows Server.
• Knowledge of MS SQL or Oracle databases.
• Banking IT environment knowledge is a plus.
• Willingness to support 24x7 on rotation.
• Able to collaborate with cross-border colleagues.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide application support and enhancement for applications used in the bank.
• Perform Level 2 and 3 of production support
• Perform problem investigation - problem identification, root cause analysis, solution definition, development, and implementation.
• Understand the system design and provide impact analysis to any changes.
• Perform enhancement and defect fixing at code level.
• Manage system risks and conjure improvements to mitigate and manage risks
• Work closely with users to understand their needs & issues.

Job Requirements:

• Application Technical Support on either of the following:
• Applications based on Java technology and WebLogic/ Websphere/ JBoss OR
• Applications based on .NET technology and Microsoft IIS
• Platform Knowledge on Linux/ UNIX OR Windows Server.
• Database knowledge on MS SQL OR Oracle database.
• Knowledge in Banking IT environment will be a plus.
• 24 x 7 offsite standby support on rotational basis.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in the same capacity.
• Pleasant personality with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and team player.
• Able to work with cross border colleagues.
