Job summary

American Express is seeking a Talent Operations Specialist – APAC (Japanese Speaker) based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will manage post-offer processes, oversee background verification, and ensure Day 1 onboarding readiness while aligning with APAC regional standards.

The role requires 3+ years in HR operations or recruitment, fluent Japanese (N2+) and English, and a flexible hybrid arrangement with three onsite days. Collaboration with regional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communications in Japanese (N2 or higher) and English.
• Min 3+ years of work experience in HR operations or recruitment.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and maintain confidentiality.
• Adapt quickly to changing work environments and responsibilities.
• Strong communication and transparency.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end post-offer processes, ensuring seamless onboarding and Day 1 readiness.
• Monitor recruitment inbox and respond to candidate queries.
• Adhere to SLAs, tracking metrics and delivering results.
• Understand APAC market nuances across 12 regions and identify automation opportunities.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
• Support Recruitment Operations activities across regions for global consistency.
