Mercuri Urval is supporting a global industrial client seeking a strategic HR leader to shape talent, leadership and organisation across Asia-Pacific from Kuala Lumpur. This high-impact, regional individual contributor role partners with senior leaders to translate business strategy into practical people and capability solutions.

The role requires 12+ years of HR experience in international environments, deep expertise in talent management, succession, leadership development, organisation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business-related field with strong HR foundation.
• MBA or Master’s degree is advantageous for progression to senior leadership roles.
• 12+ years of broad HR experience in international, multi-country environments.
• Deep expertise in talent management, succession planning, leadership development and change management.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional talent management and succession agenda including reviews and analytics.
• Design and deliver approaches for accelerating high-potential development and mobility.
• Develop leadership effectiveness initiatives: assessment, coaching, mentoring and transitions.
• Build strategic workforce planning aligned to growth and capabilities.
• Assess implications of AI, automation and evolving business models on workforce design.
• Lead regional organisation effectiveness, culture, engagement, and DEI initiatives.
