Job summary

Anton Paar Asia Pacific seeks a regional application & product specialist to apply scientific knowledge and train sales people and customers in the APAC region. The role focuses on extrusion applications, method development, and achieving accurate measurements while supporting the regional testing and training laboratory in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Degree in Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• Hands-on experience with polymer processing, extrusion, rheology, material characterization, or food processing technologies.
• Strong presentation and communication skills with experience delivering technical training.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the Asia Pacific region.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical expert and point of contact for extrusion applications, providing advanced support to customers, distributors, and internal teams.
• Conduct sample testing, method development, and process optimization to ensure reliable extrusion results for Asia Pacific customers.
• Plan and execute demonstrations and technical training (onsite and virtual) for sales, applications and customers.
• Prepare application notes, technical reports, and case studies with product specialists, service, marketing and sales teams.
• Manage operations and development of the Regional Testing and Training laboratory in the APAC Technical Centre.
• Plan activities, events, materials production and distribution to ensure efficient operations.
• Represent Anton Paar at conferences and exhibitions as a subject matter expert in extrusion.
• Support subsidiaries in APAC with installations on customer sites and training for complex installations.
• Develop technical materials, provide feedback on training materials, and support new product introductions through validation studies.
