Job summary

Balchem is seeking a Nutrition Science Director for APAC to lead translation of scientific evidence into product development and market growth across the region. Ideal location will be in Malaysia or Singapore, and the role partners across R&D, commercial teams, academia, and customers to advance functional ingredients and health solutions.

You will collaborate with marketing and sales, support regulatory activities, manage academic collaborations, contribute to IP, and travel regionally.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Nutrition Science, Biology, Physiology, or related field.
• 5+ years in nutritional or functional ingredients with strong scientific and applied experience.
• Must have APAC regional involvement with a multinational company.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Develop scientific expertise in functional ingredients, human nutrition, and emerging health benefits.
• Translate research into high‑impact outputs (white papers, publications, presentations, technical dossiers).
• Support innovation through new product concepts, applications, and health indications.
• Provide formulation and application support for ingredient commercialization.
• Manage research collaborations with universities, CROs, and regional partners.
• Build relationships with academic and scientific stakeholders across APAC.
• Support regulatory activities (e.g., dossiers, regional compliance awareness).
• Partner with Marketing & Sales to develop science‑based tools, training, and customer presentations.
• Contribute to IP development and business development initiatives.
• Support SAB activities and strategic programs.
