Job summary

Balchem Corporation seeks a Nutrition Science Director for APAC, ideally based in Malaysia or Singapore. The role leads cross-functional teams to translate science into product development, customer engagement, and growth across APAC, interfacing with R&D, commercial teams, and academic partners.

The successful candidate will drive functional ingredient expertise, collaborate on regulatory dossiers, and support marketing with science-based tools and trainings.

Qualifications

• PhD in Nutrition Science, Biology, Physiology, or related field.
• 5+ years in nutritional or functional ingredients with scientific and applied experience.
• Must have APAC regional involvement with a multinational company.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (required).

Responsibilities

• Develop scientific expertise in functional ingredients, human nutrition, and health benefits.
• Translate research into high-impact outputs (white papers, publications, presentations, dossiers).
• Support innovation through new product concepts and health indications.
• Provide formulation and application support for ingredient commercialization.
• Manage research collaborations with universities, CROs, and regional partners.
• Build relationships with academic and scientific stakeholders across APAC.
• Support regulatory activities (dossiers and regional compliance).
• Partner with Marketing & Sales to develop science-based tools and training for customers.
