Job summary

Arbex, a multinational consumer goods company, seeks an APAC Assistant Controller to lead financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance across the APAC region from Kuala Lumpur. You will partner with GBS, FP&A, and market teams to drive accurate reporting, risk management, and governance.

You will oversee close processes, ensure CFIs adherence, and support audits while mentoring regional finance professionals. A strategic, collaborative leader is essential.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role.
• Public accounting experience or similar; CPA or CA preferred.
• Proven experience in financial management, controllership, and statutory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of US and local GAAP, regulatory requirements and audit practices.
• Ability to think and act independently with a customer-centric mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting, internal controls, statutory and regulatory compliance across APAC.
• Partner with Regional finance teams to ensure integrity of financial statements and CFIs compliance.
• Lead quarterly updates with Region CFOs on financial reporting, controls and projects.
• Support external audits and balance sheet reviews with GBS and Market FCs.
