Job summary

Digital Realty is seeking a Commercial Associate to support APAC retail colocation in Malaysia within the Portfolio Management Group. The role collaborates with Sales and cross-functional teams on renewals, pricing, and new leases, while maintaining records and supporting proposals and reporting.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of relevant experience, a business-related bachelor’s degree, and strong analytical and communications skills to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, or a related field.
1–3 years of relevant experience in data centers, telecommunications, IT, commercial operations, finance, business analysis, real estate or a related field; strong internship experience may also be considered.
Basic knowledge of data communications, cloud, or Enterprise IT is an advantage.
Good analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across functions.
Comfortable coordinating with cross-functional teams and escalating issues appropriately.
Experience in an international company or matrixed organisation is an advantage.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce.com and other analytical tools is an advantage.
Familiarity with SAP, Oracle CPQ, Salesforce.com, ServiceNow, or similar business systems is an advantage.
Prior customer-facing work or experience working with Sales team is an advantage.
Ability to work effectively within virtual teams and across time zones.
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, results-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

Support contract renewal activities by preparing pricing and account information, coordinating internal inputs, and tracking actions and approvals.
Support customer renewal discussions and negotiations by preparing commercial information, documenting key points, and coordinating follow-up on pricing and contractual matters.
Assist with the review of Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Service Orders (SOs), including the review of commercial terms against approval thresholds, and to coordinate approvals for contractual exceptions, deviations and concessions.
Support the review of customer enquiries and commercial disputes by checking against the MSAs and Service Order, compiling relevant information, and coordinating with Sales and other internal stakeholders on resolution.
Maintain accurate records of existing customer information and all customer concessions related to the Colocation business.
As needed, support the end-to-end pre-sales pricing process by maintaining pricing tools, preparing required inputs, coordinating system support and escalations, and tracking approvals for customer proposals.
