Job summary

Digital Realty is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee planning, coordination and execution of data centre construction projects in Malaysia, from full builds to fit-outs and upgrades. The role focuses on delivering on time and within budget while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with stakeholders, contractors and vendors to ensure successful project delivery in a complex, global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related discipline.
• Experience managing large-scale construction projects, preferably data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of construction project management methodologies and industry best practices.
• Familiarity with data center infrastructure, design principles, and MEP systems.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, contractors, risk mitigation, KPIs and financial controls.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, communication and people management skills.
• Experience driving continuous process improvements, governance frameworks and performance reporting.
• Fluent English with strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of data center construction projects: new builds, fit-outs, upgrades, and infrastructure.
• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, resources and performance metrics.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, vendors, and customers to align objectives.
• Oversee all phases from design through commissioning and closeout.
• Champion safety by partnering with Health & Safety teams and ensuring compliance with standards.
• Monitor progress, manage risks, resolve issues and drive corrective actions.
• Manage contracts, change orders, contractor payments, cost controls and value engineering.
• Establish governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement across local and global teams.
• Conduct quality inspections and reviews to ensure regulatory and standards compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardization across projects.
