Job summary

HSBC Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Credit Analyst to join the Wholesale department. The role supports APAC through Corporate/FIG Credit Analysis, liaising with business units and risk teams to ensure prudent lending decisions and robust data analysis throughout client engagements.

The analyst will perform industry, ESG, and financial analysis, support credit decisions, and build strong relationships with Relationship Managers while adhering to high-quality standards and timelines.

Qualifications

• C.A./CFA/MBA or equivalent is essential or desirable.
• Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or equivalent is essential.

Responsibilities

• - Undertake high quality industry, competitor, ESG and client level financial analysis for Global Banking and Commercial Banking RM Team.
• - Analyze financial documentation to support lending decisions and credit requests.
• - Prepare credit analyses for new and existing client relationships.
• - Support data collection and analysis on client emissions, climate commitments and low-carbon initiatives.
• - Build and maintain relationships with GB & CMB Relationship Managers and Risk executives.
• - Ensure all work meets timeframes, PLA requirements and quality standards.
• - Comply with policies and procedures; suggest process improvements.
• - Communicate clearly with team members and other GBM parts as required.
• - Maintain HSBC internal control standards and Group Compliance expectations.
