Job summary

Baxter International Inc. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead the Costing & Inventory team, support month-end close, and ensure accurate financial reporting across APAC regions.

The role requires 7+ years of relevant experience, a Finance/Accounting degree or ACCA/CIMA, strong US GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Travel internationally may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proven experience in a multinational environment and/or audit.
• Good knowledge of US GAAP.
• Excellent communication skills, diplomatic, flexible and can-do mindset.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong reporting tools including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally as required.
• Experience in JDE, Blackline and W-Desk is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Costing & Inventory team to support month-end close activities.
• Review and approve inventory account reconciliations and Journals in Blackline.
• Drive process improvement opportunities across the team with a focus on continuous improvements.
• Build and maintain relationships with finance and non-finance teams and external providers.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, audit requirements, and local regulations; strengthen financial processes and controls.
• Build and manage high-performing teams with focus on engagement and talent development.
• Support local, regional, and global projects with financial expertise.
• Be an active advocate of the finance function and focus on continuous process improvements.
• Follow Sox controls when performing daily activities; handle Costing & Inventory for APAC regions.
