Job summary

Baxter Healthcare Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead the Costing & Inventory team to support month-end close activities and ensure accurate cost reporting across APAC regions.

You will review and approve inventory account reconciliations and journals, drive continuous process improvements, and partner with finance and cross-functional teams to strengthen controls and reporting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or ACCA/CIMA (part-qualified).
• Experience in multinational environments and/or audit; strong knowledge of US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Costing & Inventory team to support month-end close activities.
• Review and approve inventory account reconciliations and journals in Blackline.
• Drive process improvements across the team with a focus on continuous improvements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with finance and non-finance teams and external providers to update processes and reporting.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, audit requirements, and local regulations; strengthen financial controls.
• Build and manage high-performing teams with focus on engagement and development.
• Support local, regional, and global projects with financial expertise.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage theCosting & Inventoryteam to support month-end close activities.

Review and approveinventoryaccount reconciliationsand Journalsin Blackline.

Drive process improvement opportunities across the team with a focus on continuous improvements.

Build andmaintainstrong relationships with other finance and non-finance teams, as well as external providers, tomaintainand update shared processes, tools, and reporting activities.

Ensure adherence of processes tocompany'spolicies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements,and local rules and regulations; supportthestrengthening of financial processes and controls.

Build and managehigh-performingteams withafocus on engagement and talent development.

Support local, regional, and global projects, asrequired; provide financialexpertisein such projects.

Be anactiveadvocate ofthefinance function.

Maintain focus on continuous process improvements.

Ensure to followSoxcontrols when performing dailyactivities.Responsiblefor completingthe Costing & Inventory activities for the APAC Regions.

Additionalhours at critical times (e.g., month-end) may berequired. Also, and on an exceptional basis, the role may require work on public holidays.

Perform ad-hoc activities whenrequired.

Requirements :

• Minimum of7years of relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accountingorpart-qualifiedACCA/CIMA.
• Proven experience in a multinational environment and/or audit.
• Good knowledge of US GAAP.
• Excellent communication skills, diplomatic, flexible and “can do”mind-set.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Strong reporting tools including MS Excel,Wordand PowerPoint.
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally asrequired.
• Experience in JDE, Blackline,and W-Desk is an advantage.
• Additionalhours at critical times (e.g., month-end) may berequired. Also, and on an exceptional basis, the role may require work on public holidays.
