Job summary

Monks is seeking an Accountant to join the Corporate team. This full-time role will be a key part of the regional Finance team, handling day-to-day financial operations, month-end closings and compliance in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

You will work on general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, tax lodgement, audits, and reporting, with APAC exposure, and the chance to contribute to global group initiatives in a collaborative, results-driven setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Finance/Accounting or related fields.
• 3+ years accounting experience, 1+ years post qualification experience with a similar role.
• APAC experience preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the General Ledger Accounts
• Manage Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Reconcile COGS accrual and bills on a monthly basis
• Manage month end closing and statutory financial reporting accurately to meet reporting deadlines
• Review and analysis of the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss accounts
• Preparation and lodgement of payroll tax and BAS/IAS/GST/VAT
• Assist with consolidating quarter/half year/year end accounts and prepare papers for the S4 group
• Assist with financial analysis
• Liaise with external tax advisory for withholding tax implications
• Assist with statutory tax lodgement
• Assist with the Global and local statutory audit
• Maintain and improve process and internal controls, following up the mitigating action of internal control weaknesses
• Work with the external bookkeepers/vendors
• Assist with ad hoc tasks and any other activities directed by Management

Education

Bachelor's in Finance/Accounting or related fields
