Job summary

Biocon Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks an Assistant Manager - AP & Financial Accounting to oversee accounts payable, month-end closing, vendor governance, and PO management.

You will drive accuracy and controls, support audits and tax filings, lead the AP team, and push process improvements; SAP experience is required.

The role requires 5–8 years of finance or accounting experience, professional qualifications (ACCA/CPA/CIMA preferred), and strong Excel proficiency. SAP S/4HANA exposure is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional qualification preferred (ACCA/CPA/CIMA).
• 5–8 years of finance or accounting experience, including supervisory.
• Hands-on Month-end closing and Accounts Payable.
• SAP experience required; SAP S/4HANA exposure is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AP, month-end closing, vendor governance, PO management and provisioning.
• Prepare MIS reporting and variance analysis, and management reporting support.
• Drive quarterly expense predictability and financial controls.
• Review AP invoices, ageing, and vendor enquiries; monitor supplier advances and ensure controls.
• Support internal and statutory audits, tax filings and compliance activities.
• Lead AP team, coach and provide technical guidance.
• Lead AP automation initiatives and process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
