Job summary

Biomedia Holdings, a leading life sciences group in Southeast Asia, seeks an experienced Finance Controller to oversee Malaysia finance operations, month-end close, budgeting, and reporting. You will manage AP/AR/GL/inventory, drive process improvements, and ensure regulatory compliance across Malaysia.

The role requires 10+ years of accounting experience, a strong finance background, and proficiency in SAP B1.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
ACCA/ISCA/CA or equivalent professional qualification.
Minimum 10 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, with experience in a Finance Controller/senior finance role.
Experience in SAP Business One (SAP B1) or ERP implementation is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end month-end close for Malaysia entities.
Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, working capital, variance analysis).
Review AP, AR, GL, inventory, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, related parties and tax balances.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and inventory operations.
Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis; provide insights to improve profitability and cashflow.
Monitor cashflow, working capital, and key metrics (DSO, DPO); coordinate with Group Finance.
Ensure regulatory compliance, tax filings, and internal control effectiveness.
Develop and coach Malaysia finance team; build capability in accounting standards and SAP usage.
