Job summary

KJTS Group Berhad in Kulai, Johor is seeking a maintenance technician to carry out maintenance and operation duties on low voltage electrical installation systems, ensuring safety procedures are followed and installations are compliant with regulations.

The role involves installing, maintaining and troubleshooting LV systems, assisting the O&M team and contractors, performing routine maintenance, and recording daily meter readings while coordinating with authorities for license renewals.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of O&M standard practice.
• Able to troubleshoot A1 equipment.
• Able to manage facilities and machineries such as A1 equipment & top line system.
• Able to converse both in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot low voltage electrical systems and other top line building services.
• Ensure new installations and maintenance are safe, correct and legal.
• Assist and supervise the O&M Team and Contractors and ensure safety regulations are followed.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventive monitoring to prevent equipment breakdowns.
• Carry out predictive and corrective maintenance works.
• Record daily meter readings and liaise with government departments for license renewals.

Job description

Responsible for carrying out the scope of maintenance & operation duties on low voltage (LV) electrical installation systems by ensuring safety procedures / procedures are always complied.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible in the installation, maintenance and trouble-shooting of low voltage electrical systems as well as other top line building services system.
• Ensure new installations and maintenances are safe, correct and legal.
• Assist and supervise the work of Operation & Maintenance Team and Contractors and ensure safety regulations are complied while carrying out their duties.
• To perform routine maintenance service and preventive monitoring of low voltage electrical system as per scheduled in order to prevent or minimize equipment breakdown and power failure.
• To carry out predictive and corrective maintenance works.
• Maintain and test the electrical equipment and components (main switchboards, small switchboards and etc) according to the standards that have been set.
• Attend and repair reported electrical equipment damage as soon as possible.
• Assist O&M Engineer on data collection (auditing) of various systems for energy optimization purposes.
• Assist Chargeman on HT/LV servicing.
• To record daily meter reading.
• Liaise with government department on license renewal (ST).
• Carry out any other assignment as assigned by management from time to time.
