Job summary

OCBC Malaysia is seeking a Risk Model Validation Specialist to join the Consumer Financial Services Risk & Prevention team. You will develop data-driven solutions to improve compliance processes, and build an automated Sales Surveillance system to identify abnormal behaviours.

You will validate suspicious transactions, support AML reporting, and advocate analytics-led approaches using machine learning. You will collaborate with governance and compliance teams, handling daily tasks and ad-hoc

Qualifications

• Experience with data management and analytical functions.
• Exposure to analytical software tools (SAS/R/Spark/Python).
• Familiarity with leading databases (Oracle/Teradata/Hadoop/SQL).
• Experience with reporting tools (Power BI/Tableau/Qlikview) and/or contact platforms (Siebel/Pega).
• Ability to analyze, visualize and describe key trends in large datasets.
• Exposure to ML, statistical modeling and visualization.

Responsibilities

• Work with Consumer Financial Services Risk & Prevention to develop data-driven solutions for compliance processes.
• Develop an automated Sales Surveillance system using predefined rules to identify abnormal sales behaviours.
• Create a system to identify and validate potentially Suspicious Transactions based on past customer behavior.
• Handle daily tasks and ad-hoc requests in support of AML and compliance teams.
• Support regular reporting for AML, Ops Risk and other compliance teams and communicate analytical findings clearly.
• Demonstrate how advanced analytics could move compliance beyond hardcoded rules.
