Job summary

Maybank Investment Banking Group in Kuala Lumpur seeks a credit analysis professional to manage the FIG portfolio. You will assess financing needs, perform detailed financial analysis, and structure terms to support loan growth while maintaining capital efficiency.

You will prepare proposals and term sheets for pitching, drive approvals with risk and board committees, and act as a one-stop contact for client relationship management, developing existing and new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in Business Finance, Banking or Accounting, Engineering, Science or Mathematics.
• Experience in credit analysis or similar position.
• Strong analytical skills with good grasp of financial analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal and writing skills to ensure effective delivery of credit reports and communication with stakeholders.
• Experience in Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Debt Capital Markets, or as a relationship manager or credit officer.
• Good knowledge of credit risk assessment and financial analysis.

Job description

• Familiar in handling Financial Institution Group (FIG) portfolio.
• Understand clients’ financing requirements, perform detailed analysis and evaluation, structure detailed financing terms and ensure credit papers produced are of high quality to achieve high quality of loan growth to ensure capital efficiency and minimize Gross Impaired Loan Ratio (GILR).
• Prepare proposal and/or detailed terms sheet for pitching and negotiation with clients. Drive approval process including syndication with credit risk and presentation in GMCC / CRC / Board. Identify business opportunities and cross sell GB products as Business Origination.
• Understand clients’ business plans and strategies forward, and be familiar with clients’ organization structure, key management and decision making process.
• Accountable for detailed account planning by analyzing and evaluating product applications / relevance to client’s business plans/requirements and discuss accordingly with Associate Director.
• Act as one-stop contact point for clients relationship management.
• Establish and develop business relationship with existing clients and new clients.
• Pre-deal engagement with internal stakeholders on primary syndication strategy.
