Job summary

The Japan Research Institute, Limited (Singapore Branch) in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced credits professional to review loan documentation and ensure terms align with approvals and term sheets. You will liaise with compliance and legal teams, ensure that all pre- and post-conditions precedent are met before disbursement.

You will also create loan shells / limits within credit approvals, follow up on outstanding documents, and submit credit reports timely while upholding SLAs.

Qualifications

• Review loan documentation for compliance with credit approvals and term sheets.
• Coordinate with compliance and legal teams on security forms and documents.
• Incorporate operational aspects into facility and security agreements.

Responsibilities

• Review & check loan documentation to ensure credit terms comply with credit approvals and term sheets.
• Liaise with internal compliance and legal team of SMBC Branches on various matters, including non-standard security form, documents etc.
• Review and ensure that all the responsibilities and operational aspects are appropriately incorporated into the facility and security agreements.
• Responsible for ensuring all Pre & Post conditions precedent are met before disbursement of loan.
• Responsible for creation of loan shell / limit within credit approval.
• Follow-up with relationship managers / operations department on outstanding documentations / subsequent conditions.
• Ensure complete, accurate and timely submission of credit-related reports to the authority.
• Build team competency and skills set to improve efficiency, productivity, and to achieve better internal customer service and delivery.
• Ensure no breach of regulatory conditions, meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) and complete all tasks on time.
