Job summary

KK Group of Companies (Retail) at KK SUPER MART KLIA 2, Gateway (3) in Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Selangor, is seeking a Shop Assistant. This full-time position puts you at a busy airport store where you will deliver friendly service, help customers find products, and process transactions accurately.

You will maintain a clean, well-organised shop, support promotions, handle cash securely, and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential for enthusiastic candidates.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced airport retail environment.
• Reliability and commitment to maintaining consistent attendance.
• Basic numeracy skills and accuracy when handling cash and transactions.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by airport operations.
• A positive attitude, team player mentality and willingness to learn.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate items.
• Fluency in English and/or Malay; additional languages are advantageous in an international airport setting.

• Assisting customers with product selection and answering questions about merchandise
• Processing transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
• Maintaining a clean, organised and visually appealing store environment
• Stocking shelves and managing inventory with attention to detail
• Ensuring products are displayed attractively and priced correctly
• Handling cash and other payment methods securely and accurately
• Supporting promotional activities and implementing store displays
• Following company policies and procedures at all times
• Assisting with opening and closing store procedures as required
