Job summary

Malaysia Aviation Group is seeking a Catering Officer to execute daily catering operations, ensure flight loading accuracy, and support flight dispatch in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 1–3 years in airline catering or related hospitality operations, a hospitality/catering qualification, and a Basic Food Safety certificate. Shift work and weekends are expected, with strong teamwork and communication essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Hospitality, Catering Operations, or related field.
• SPM or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Basic Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate.
• 1-3 years' experience in airline catering, food production, or hospitality operations.
• Experience in food preparation, tray setup, dispatch operations, and basic quality/hygiene practices.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Team-oriented with good communication skills.
• Detail-conscious and quality-driven.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned tasks according to SOPs, flight schedules, and CCP requirements within the catering operational scope of works.
• Handle resources responsibly to avoid damage or loss of inventory.
• Ensure the accuracy of flight loading, tray setup, and menu specifications as per airline standards.
• Ensure meal trays, trolleys, and equipment are prepared neatly and in accordance with airline and menu specifications.
• Support last-minute changes or special meal requests promptly.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and product presentation.
• Ensure accurate and complete flight loading records.
• Support smooth flight dispatch and respond quickly to operational instructions.
• Report operational discrepancies, shortages, or delays immediately to the supervisor for corrective action.
