Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking a Certifying Staff B1.3 for Kuala Lumpur to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on H225 aircraft. You will issue CRS, diagnose faults on airframes and systems, and maintain CAAM-compliant records.

Mandatory CAAM Part M/Part 145 knowledge, 3+ years on H225/EC225/AS332, and proficiency with Airbus documentation are required. Bahasa Malaysia is a local asset; English communications are essential.

Qualifications

• EASA Part 66 B1.3 licence (or CAAM equivalent) – Mandatory.
• Active Certification Authorisation (CA) on H225 – Mandatory.
• CRS sign-off authority currently valid – Mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience on H225 / EC225 / AS332.
• Demonstrated experience issuing CRS as Certifying Staff.
• Familiarity with Makila 2A1 power plant – strong asset.
• Knowledge of offshore oil & gas operating environment – appreciated.
• Proficiency with Airbus Helicopters documentation (AMM, IPC, SB, AD).
• Experience with AMOS, SAP or equivalent MRO software.
• Solid understanding of CAAM Part M and Part 145 regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to airworthiness standards.
• Ability to work independently and take full responsibility for release decisions.
• Good communication skills in English (technical and operational environment). Bahasa Malaysia fluency – asset for local team integration.
• Team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on H225 aircraft.
• Issue and sign CRS within the scope of Certification Authorisation.
• Troubleshoot, fault diagnose and correct issues on airframe, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain accurate, CAAM-compliant maintenance records.
• Coordinate with QA and Planning to finish tasks on schedule.
• Mentor junior technicians in technical tasks and safety procedures.
• Participate in audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Job description

Our client is a leading MRO organisation based in Kuala Lumpur, operating under CAAM Part 145 approval. The organisation provides heavy maintenance, component overhaul and line maintenance services, primarily the H225, serving offshore oil & gas operators across Asia-Pacific.

The Certifying Staff B1.3 is a key contributor to airworthiness assurance. Holding an active Certification Authorisation (CA), the technician independently signs Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) following scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.

Job Description

Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on H225 aircraft in accordance with AMM, CMM and IPC

Issue and sign Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) within the scope of the Certification Authorisation

Perform troubleshooting, fault diagnosis and corrective actions on airframe, mechanical and hydraulic systems

Maintain accurate and compliant maintenance records in accordance with CAAM requirements

Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Planning departments to ensure task completion within schedule

Mentor and support junior technicians in technical tasks and safety procedures

Participate in audits (internal, customer, authority) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications
