Job summary

Avanade Inc. seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer Lead Practitioner to translate business ambition into production outcomes.

This player-coach manages the Forward Deployed Engineer track, combining business understanding, solution architecture and engineering leadership to drive AI-enabled outcomes at enterprise scale. They will set the technical standard, capability model and hiring bar for a track expected to scale from 20 engineers at launch to over 100 practitioners.

Qualifications

• Experience bridging strategy and execution to production-ready architectures.
• Ability to define reference architectures and decision frameworks for AI-native platforms.
• Experience leading engineering teams and setting coaching/hiring standards.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients and domain architects to translate priorities into AI-enabled solutions.
• Own the engineering standard for the Forward Deployed Engineer track, including patterns, practices, testing and production readiness.
• Define AI-native engineering practices such as agent-enabled development and reusable components.
• Define reference architectures and decision frameworks for platform choices.
• Lead the FDE career pathway and enablement model for scaling the team.
