Job summary

TechxSA in Malaysia is seeking experienced AI/ML Engineers to join an exciting Oil & Gas project. Malaysian candidates only, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

You will develop AI/ML solutions for unstructured text and document processing, review PoC for production, and ensure compliance with Responsible AI, PDPA, and security. Strong Python and NLP skills are essential, along with experience in embeddings and vector search for document retrieval.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/AI/ML/Data Science or related field.
• Strong Python proficiency.
• Hands-on AI/ML experience in NLP or document processing.
• Proven experience developing AI solutions for unstructured text or document processing.
• Experience with NER, rules, or pattern matching for sensitive-information detection.
• Knowledge of embeddings, semantic similarity, duplicate detection, and vector search.
• Experience with model training, tuning, and evaluation using precision, recall, F1 score, and confusion matrices.
• Familiarity with REST API integration and enterprise deployment environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI/ML solutions for unstructured text and document processing.
• Review and enhance an existing PoC for production implementation.
• Develop solutions for PII detection, document classification, and metadata extraction.
• Apply embeddings, semantic similarity, and vector search for document retrieval.
• Prepare, clean, label, train, evaluate, and validate document datasets and models.
• Develop and deploy classification or model APIs.
• Support SIT, UAT, pilot deployment, model monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with Responsible AI, PDPA, security, governance, and auditability requirements.

• 7. Experience with model training, tuning, and evaluation using precision, recall, F1 score, and confusion matrices
• Familiarity with REST API integration and enterprise deployment environments

Added Advantages:

• - Experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, or Microsoft Purview
