Job summary

AYP Group is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to own engineering across APAC. This hands-on leadership role oversees development, DevOps and QA, partnering with Product to align requirements with technical delivery.

You will set architectural direction, ensure platform reliability, security and cost efficiency, and drive AI initiatives from concept to production. You will lead a distributed engineering, DevOps and QA team, hiring and onboarding talent, while maintaining high delivery

Qualifications

Proven engineering leadership with delivery outcomes across multiple teams.
Track record of building high-performing engineering teams, with appropriate resourcing and cost discipline.
Expert hiring manager skills and clear people-management philosophy for engineers and leads.
Ability to coordinate complex technical projects spanning multiple teams and report progress in business terms.
Expertise in agile delivery, focusing on team velocity and execution against goals.

Responsibilities

Set technical architecture and a sequenced engineering roadmap from platform priorities and make build/buy/integration calls.
Own delivery of committed scope across the team, balancing capacity, scope, time and quality.
Own cloud infrastructure and platform reliability: AWS architecture, cost, DB performance, pipelines, incident response.
Own security and data protection: access control, vulnerability management, and data safety across markets.
Set direction on AI from proof of concept to production in the product and engineering delivery.
Define engineering standards: code/architecture quality, review gates, and debt management.
