Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Forwarding Senior Manager to lead the freight forwarding department, bridging traditional logistics with AI and IT innovations. You will oversee end-to-end forwarding operations, ensure customs compliance, and drive efficiency by leveraging predictive analytics and automated processes.

The role requires deep experience in forwarding management, strong leadership, and the ability to report strategic insights to Heads of Departments and senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 15 years in forwarding management or equivalent leadership track record.
• Fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia; strong communication with HODs.
• Strong IT literacy with focus on AI and automated systems in logistics.
• Experience in end-to-end forwarding operations (Air/Sea/Land).
• Proven leadership, delegation, and team development abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the forwarding department end-to-end, meeting KPIs and deadlines.
• Champion IT/AI adoption to optimize routes, documentation, and processes.
• Develop data-driven strategies and report to Heads of Departments and senior management.
• Ensure 100% customs compliance and efficient clearance workflows.
• Mentor and develop the forwarding team while aligning with company goals.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to achieve departmental objectives.
