Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for a Senior AI Engineer in Malaysia to design, develop and deploy production-ready AI agents using modern agent orchestration frameworks.

You will build and optimise multi-agent architectures, tool integrations, and advanced reasoning workflows, including memory systems and retrieval augmented generation (RAG). The role involves collaboration with global stakeholders, mentoring the AI team, and staying ahead of AI tech trends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional software engineering experience with Python.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-based applications, AI agents, or RAG solutions in production environments.
• Experience with agent orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Microsoft Agent Framework, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of AI agent memory architectures, vector databases, and retrieval systems.
• Experience with evaluation and observability tools for AI systems.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, FastAPI, Docker, and cloud-native development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy production-ready AI agents using modern agent orchestration frameworks.
• Build and optimise multi-agent architectures, tool integrations, and advanced reasoning workflows.
• Design agent memory systems, including session-based memory, long-term memory, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures.
• Develop evaluation, testing, monitoring, and observability frameworks to ensure performance and reliability.
• Implement prompt engineering best practices, prompt version control, and testing methodologies.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise Azure, Databricks, API, and cloud environments.
• Support the development of emerging AgentOps practices, including governance, monitoring, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders and act as a technical advisor while mentoring team members as the AI function grows.
• Stay updated on emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices.
