Job summary

Mindpec Solutions in Malaysia is seeking a Lead Engineer, AI Agents & Backend Platforms to lead the design and development of autonomous AI agents and scalable backend services. You will build AI-powered agents that can reason, use tools, interact with APIs and databases, and execute multi-step workflows with minimal human intervention.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years focused on designing and building scalable systems.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and driving technical decisions.
• Strong Python and API design skills.
• Knowledge of microservices and system architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Knowledge of RAG, prompt engineering, AI agents, and agentic workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI agents and autonomous workflows.
• Build AI solutions using LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and agentic AI frameworks.
• Deconstruct complex business problems into structured workflows for AI.
• Develop reusable agent architectures and enterprise components.
• Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices.
• Integrate AI agents with external APIs, databases, and enterprise apps.
• Contribute to system architecture, and engineering standards.
• Ensure backend platforms are scalable, maintainable, reliable and secure.
