Job summary

Malaysia Airports Berhad is seeking an Admin/Operations Officer to oversee airside services and enforcement within the aerodrome. You will coordinate operations, lead shifts when needed, and ensure safety for aircraft maneuvering areas.

You will prepare NOTAMs, monitor FODs, manage vehicle permits, and report defects while communicating with AOCC, Engineering, and FOM to keep airside operations smooth and compliant.

Qualifications

• Diploma holders with 2–3 years of aviation/airside/operations experience.
• Fresh graduates with relevant Diploma encouraged to apply.
• Valid Class D driver’s license; able to drive manual vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate airside operations and enforcement activities.
• Lead shift in the absence of the Duty Executive as directed.
• Ensure facilities and aircraft maneuvering areas are safe for flight operations.
• Communicate with AOCC, Engineering, and FOM for smooth operations.
• Prepare NOTAMs for scheduled and unscheduled activities within aerodrome.
• Monitor FODs and ensure airside vehicle and equipment readiness.
• Prepare incident reports and report facility defects for rectification.
• Maintain airside records and monthly duty rosters.

Job Description

POSITION GENERAL FUNCTIONS

• Conducting aerodrome inspection & enforcement activities within the airside boundary in ensuring the compliance to the local and international standards and recommended practices.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• To coordinate and facilitate activities related to operations and enforcement.
• Responsible to lead the shift in the absence of the Duty Executive upon instructed by the Duty Executive.
• To ensure all facilities are in good serviceable condition and the aircraft maneuvering areas are safe for flight operations.
• To handle on site communication and coordination with other operations unit within Malaysia Airports, particularly the Airport Operations Control Centre (AOCC), Engineering Division, and Flight Operations Management (FOM).
• To handle daily on site communication and coordination with relevant parties (relevant stakeholders) for smooth airside operations
• To prepare Notice to Airmen NOTAM for all scheduled and unscheduled activities, including maintenance work, operational changes, and area closures within the
• aerodrome, ensuring accurate and timely dissemination of information to all relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor and ensure that the apron is clean from Foreign Object Debris (FODs) and close the area if hazards exist.
• To prepare preliminary investigation report during an accident/incident that is non-related to aircraft and ensuring that safety officers collect relevant data.
• To report any facility defects and filling fault dockets as well as ensuring that the faults are rectified for operational use.
• To ensure that operational equipments (vehicles, Trunk Radio, Very High Frequency radio, mobilephones) are in good condition and sufficient according to the equipment inventory list.
• To ensure the checklist and other record have been filled and keep in the designated storage/filing system.
• To prepare monthly duty roster for shift operations
• To manage collections of Temporary Airside Vehicle Permit and Follow Me escort services.
• To report any hazard and non compliances in Airside area.
• To check & ensure all Airside drivers has a valid Airside Driving Permit (ADP)
• To check & ensure all vehicles has a valid Airside Vehicles Permits (AVP)
• To check the validity of vehicles with temporary permits and to ensure offloading of goods are at the correct loading bays.
• To ensure that the Airside drivers operating the right category of vehicle/equipment.
• To ensure that Airside users comply to SOP when operating their vehicles/equipment.
• To check on the roadworthiness of all vehicles and equipment in Airside
• Responsible for ensuring the effective management of FODs, as well as the orderly parking of airside vehicles and equipment.
• Responsible for enforcing rules and regulations for maintenance and project contractors during ongoing work, ensuring compliance with both local and international standards.
• To manage willdife presence as per outline in the SOP and guidelines.
• Obligated to meet the qualifications of a Competent Runway Inspector (CRI), MACA, and any other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Well verse of local and international aviation standards and airside rules & regulations

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma Holder with 2–3 years of experience in Aviation/Airport Management, Transport/Operations, Zoology (Entomology/Ornithology), Safety and Health Management, Environmental Management, Landscaping
• Management, Contract Management, or equivalent are highly encouraged to apply.
• Fresh graduates with a strong desire to learn and a relevant Diploma are also highly encouraged to apply.

Additional Requirement

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of effective leadership.
• Valid Class D driver’s license; must be confident and capable of driving manual vehicles.
• Perfect vision required (no color blindness or visual impairments) to ensure operational safety.
• Prefer male applicants for heavy lifting.

Education

• Academic Certification: Diploma Holder ONLY
• Preferred Fields: Aviation/Airport Management, Transport/Operations, Zoology (Entomology/Ornithology), Safety and Health Management, Environmental Management, Landscaping Management, Contract Management, or equivalent is highly preferred.
• Grade Requirement: Minimum CGPA of 2.80.
