Job summary

Swiss Re Asia is seeking an Actuarial Analyst for a 12-month contract to support valuation, reporting and analysis for Life & Health across Asia. You will work with experienced actuaries, gaining exposure to IFRS 17, portfolio analytics and process improvements.

The role targets early-career professionals with a strong quantitative background, Excel skills and a penchant for continuous learning. Malaysia-based position in Kuala Lumpur with collaboration across Finance and Risk Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or related quantitative field.
• 0–3 years of experience in insurance/reinsurance or analytical roles.
• Progressing toward actuarial qualification (IFOA/SOA/FIAA or equivalent).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel; good written and verbal English communication.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support quarterly actuarial valuation and financial reporting.
• Assist IFRS 17 reporting, analysis and reconciliation.
• Prepare reports and actuarial analyses; validate data.
• Analyze portfolio experience and business performance.
• Help automate reporting processes and templates; document methodologies.
