Job summary

Munich Re Retakaful, part of Munich Re, is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join the valuation team in Kuala Lumpur. The role focuses on experience studies, Solvency II, IFRS and Local Statutory reporting across markets, with close collaboration with Client Managers and actuaries.

You will report to the Manager, Actuarial Valuation, and work from Kuala Lumpur. Key responsibilities include coordinating AXIS model work, maintaining valuation data and supporting quarterly closings, prognosis

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics.
• Progressing towards Fellowship with a recognized actuarial body (FSA, FIA, FIAA or equivalent).
• Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong MS Excel skills with ability to perform complex functions.
• Knowledge of AXIS would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct experience studies via AXIS for treaties/products with regional coordination.
• Support Solvency II, IFRS and Local Statutory reporting accuracy.
• Monitor experience, analyze treaty performance, review assumptions.
• Complete AXIS model conversions for selected treaties with regional review.
• Maintain valuation data, models and documentation.
• Collaborate to ensure accurate treaty setup, valuation and reporting.
• Support life technical accounting for bordereaux and statements of accounts.
• Assist quarterly closing and prognosis updates with client managers.
• Engage in ad hoc actuarial projects and client consulting as needed.
