Job summary

PRISM+ is seeking a hands-on Air Conditioning Technician to install, maintain, and repair commercial and residential systems, diagnose faults, perform chemical washes, and ensure safety compliance on-site. You will be the technical backbone for the service team, delivering prompt troubleshooting and support to customers while handling on-site responsibilities.

The role requires driving and the ability to work a 5.5-day week.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in installation, maintenance (including chemical washing), troubleshooting and repairing air conditioners.
• Able to handle physically demanding work.
• Basic English and Malay (spoken and written) proficiency.
• Responsible for inspections, maintenance, installations and fault handling.
• Monthly maintenance services to customers.
• 5.5 days' work week.

As a growing electronics company, we're in search of a candidate who can demonstrate their expertise in establishing a solid foundation for our service team, particularly in the areas of ACMV installation & service. This role also involves serving as the go‑to technical resource for our customer service team, aiding them in delivering top‑notch troubleshooting solutions for our customers to ensure a seamless and speedy resolution. This individual will serve as the cornerstone of technical hands‑on knowledge for PRISM+ aircon products. They will be responsible for offering technical assistance, guidance, and support to both individual consumers and businesses encountering issues with our technical, hardware, and software systems.

Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, maintains, and repair various types and brand of all types of commercial and residential air conditioners.
• Performs regular preventive maintenance and corrective works on air conditioning systems.
• Diagnoses electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions.
• Carries our repair works such as replacement of air con compressors, fan coil motors, etc.
• Recommends appropriate repair and improvement works to customers.
• Performs servicing of air conditioning at customers' residential and commercial premises that includes chemical washes, chemical overhauls, general maintenance services.
• Ensures all works compliance with appliance standards and Health and Safety Act.
• Daily reporting and weekly reporting to direct manager.
• Any other tasks, when required by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Hands‑on experience in installation, maintenance (including chemical washing), troubleshooting and repairing of air conditioners.
• Must be able to handle physical work due to job nature.
• Basic command of English, Malay spoken and written.
• Responsible for providing air conditioning (air conditioning system) services, such as inspection, maintenance, installation, air conditioning failure.
• Provide monthly maintenance and operation services to customers.
• Effective handling of fault/emergency repairs and customer complaints.
• Must have GDL D (Van) driving license.
• Minimum 1 year experience is required.
• 5.5 days' work week
