Job summary

Advance Industrial Solutions – Genting Highlands, Pahang is seeking an Air Conditioning Technician with 2–3 years in facilities or HVAC service. Qualifications

• Certificate or equivalent in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in facilities or HVAC service.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transport.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair air conditioning units and systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot to ensure optimal performance.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies promptly.
• Clean, adjust, repair systems and perform warranty services.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, chillers, AHUs, cooling towers and related equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate service records and maintenance logs.
• Ensure compliance with appliance standards and OHSA guidelines.

Job Location : Genting Highland, Pahang. (Accommodation provided by company)

Key Responsibilities:

• 1. Install, maintain, and repair various types of air conditioning units and systems.
• 2. Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting to identify issues and ensure optimal performance.
• 3. Respond to service calls and emergencies promptly.
• 4.Clean, adjust, repair systems, and perform warranty services.
• 5. Carry out hands‑on troubleshooting, fault finding, and repair of HVAC systems, chillers, air compressors, AHUs, cooling towers, and related mechanical equipment.
• 6. Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime.
• 7. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and maintenance logs.
• 8. Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• 9. Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements.

Qualifications:

• 1. Certificate of competency from accredited educational body, Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM), TVET certification, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field
• 2. Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in the facilities field
• 3. Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Technician or similar role with relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., HVAC certification).
• 4. Strong knowledge of air conditioning systems, electrical components, and refrigeration principles.
• 5. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
• 6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail and strong communication and customer service skills.
• 7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• 8. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

• 1. Knowledge of facility equipment operation and maintenance, such as air compressors, air handling units (AHU), water pump systems, air conditioning systems (HVAC), ventilation systems, cooling towers, and chillers.
• 2. Hands‑on experience in troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing HVAC systems, chillers, and air compressors.
• 3. Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, mechanical systems, and HVAC operation.
• 4. Knowledge in electrical basics is a MUST.
• 5. Ability to diagnose and rectify electrical, mechanical, and control‑related faults.
