Job summary

Habib Group is seeking an Accounts Officer to maintain accurate financial records and support daily accounting tasks. You will verify daily sales, prepare reports, manage payments, and assist with month-end closing.

The role requires good attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to work independently or in a team. Proficiency in English and Malay, MS Office, and basic accounting knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of a Diploma in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
• Preferably 1-2 year’s working experience in a relevant field or fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Possess basic accounting knowledge and strong logical thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to write and speak in English and Malay languages. Proficiency in additional languages will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, MS Word & PowerPoint)
• Able to work independently, under pressure and commit time to meet deadline & prioritise work

Responsibilities

• Verify daily sales bank-in and post daily sales journal entries accurately.
• Prepare sales commission and bank reconciliation within the given timeline.
• Manage and prepare payments and journal vouchers efficiently.
• Prepare the monthly closing schedule to ensure timely financial reporting.
• Ensure proper filing for all journal vouchers and related documents.
• Assist in the annual stock take and prepare for stock roll forward.
• Handle any other ad-hoc duties or tasks assigned by management.
