Job summary

Halim Hong & Quek, a well-established Malaysian law firm, seeks an Account Executive (Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable) to join our Finance team in Kuala Lumpur. You will handle daily client invoices, deposits, reports, and maintain client trust records with accuracy.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Strong Excel and MS Office skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; relevant Accounts Receivable or accounting experience will have added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Available to serve at least for a 6 months fixed-term, with a possibility to be extended or convert to a permanent position (depending on performance)

Responsibilities

• Convert and process the daily client invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Record client deposits and disbursements in the accounting system.
• Prepare, update and maintain the daily collection reports.
• Maintain accurate records of client trust accounts and office transactions.
• Organize and maintain proper filing of all financial documents for efficient retrieval and audit purposes.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks and assignments as required by immediate Superior or the Management from time to time.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
