This advanced role requires a seasoned professional capable of leading complex projects independently and serving as the primary point of contact for colleagues on Accounts Payable matters. This role also involves leading month-end closing activities, preparing financial reports, and supporting audits. The AP Specialist Senior is instrumental in managing vendor relationships, resolving complex inquiries and disputes. Additionally, this role focuses on identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance systems and procedures. With a strong understanding of accounting principles, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to mentor and guide junior team members, the AP Specialist Senior plays a pivotal role in driving the success of Accounts Payable operations.* Invoice Management: Lead and optimize the invoice processing workflow to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Continuously seek process improvements and automation opportunities.* Query Resolution: Lead the resolution of complex queries related to invoices and purchase orders, including discrepancies in delivery, pricing, or payments. Foster effective communication channels with suppliers and internal departments to clarify issues and ensure timely, strategic resolutions that support overall business objectives. Serves as first contact point for escalations.* Stakeholder Management: Independently lead communication with internal and external stakeholders, effectively managing and overseeing the entire Accounts Payable process from end to end. Ensure timely and effective resolution of issues, providing strategic insights to facilitate smooth operations and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.* Collaborative Support: Serve as an expert in the AP field, teaching and mentoring colleagues to enhance their skills and knowledge. Foster a collaborative environment within the team, ensuring seamless operations and providing strategic support during high-volume periods.* Innovative Project Leadership: Identify opportunities for improvement and develop comprehensive plans, independently leading projects from inception to completion.
