Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a junior Accounts Payable assistant to support AP transaction processing in line with SOX and local requirements. You will ensure timelines and quality meet service levels and participate in ad hoc tasks.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; Mandarin fluency is preferred to handle Mandarin-speaking clients, and exposure to SAP is an advantage. Overseas travel may be required to transition AP functions to Penang GBS.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of accounting experience, AP focus preferred.
• Exposure to Shared Services is a plus.
• Proficiency with SAP or similar accounting software.
• Mandarin fluency is preferred to handle Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Provide Accounts Payable transaction processing support to deliver Accounts Payable services in accordance with established processes, work procedures, SOX requirements and local company legal and statutory requirements.


• Ensure that timelines and quality meet the agreed service levels and targets.


• Ad hoc tasks as required by Team Lead or Manager.


• Participate in process improvement projects or exercises.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.


• Possess 0-2 years experience in accounting task, preferably Accounts payable.


• Exposure in Share Service Organisation is added advantage.


• Proficient with accounting software (preferably SAP).


• Candidates fluent in Mandarin preferred as role requires candidate to deal with Mandarin speaking clients.


• Good team player


• Overseas travel may be required from time to time to transition Accounts Payable function from operating locations to Penang Global Business Services Centre.
