Job summary

CapBay is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Senior Lead to oversee the AP function in a fast-paced FinTech environment in Malaysia. You will lead and develop the AP team, ensure accurate processing of invoices and payments, and maintain strong internal controls.

The role requires 5+ years in AP, solid knowledge of Oracle NetSuite, and the ability to drive process improvements while collaborating with procurement, treasury, and accounting teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin or related field.
• 5+ years experience in Accounts Payable or related finance role.
• Experience in fast-paced environment; large org or SSC preferred.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end AP: invoices, payments, vendor mgmt.
• Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite and AP automation tools preferred.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the AP team for high performance.
• Manage day-to-day AP ops: invoices, payments, reconciliations.
• Oversee end-to-end AP: receipt, approval, coding, payments, reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor AP ageing and address outstanding invoices promptly.
• Improve AP processes to boost efficiency and controls.
• Implement and leverage AP automation tools to streamline workflows.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement best practices.
• Collaborate with accounting for accurate month-/year-end closes.
• Coordinate with procurement, treasury, and accounting teams.
• Support finance in cash flow, expense analysis, and planning.
