Job summary

Wilmar GBS Sdn Bhd, part of the Fortune 500 Wilmar Group, invites a motivated Financial Accountant to join its growing Shared Services Centre in Penang. You will handle invoice processing, payment batches, cash flow forecasting, and timely resolution of open items.

The role requires an Accounting Degree, 2–3 years of SSC experience or fresh grads encouraged, SAP knowledge, and strong Excel skills. You will work across time zones (7 am–4 pm) and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Accounting Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• 2–3 years working experience in the related field preferred; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• SAP knowledge or working experience in SSC environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; able to handle tight timelines and analytical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure invoices are adequately authorized and owned through until processing is successful.
• Generate, review, verify and reconcile payment batches against vendor and bank reports.
• Prepare and generate payment proposals and cash flow forecasts.
• Generate and review aged items with recommendations to the site and follow up on open items.
• Drive process improvement initiatives in the SSC environment.

As part of the Global Shared Service Centre (SSC) of Wilmar, we are looking for dynamic, customer service and quality minded team player to join our SSC continuous expansion in 2026. The position provides an opportunity to widely increase your accounting knowledge and expertise working for a well-known, fast growing SSC of a Fortune 500 company.

Responsibilities:

Ensure invoices are adequately authorized, and take ownership until invoice / employee expense claim/ GRIR are successfully and accurately processed

Generate, review, verify and reconcile payment batch against vendor reports / bank reports / vendor invoices / employee claims

Prepare and generate payment proposals

Prepare cash flow forecast

Generate and review aged items, and proposed recommendation to site

Follow up on open items and issues for closure

Drive process improvement initiatives

Requirements:

Candidate must possess Accounting Degree or equivalent professional qualification

2-3 years working experience in the related field preferred

Fresh graduates are encourage to apply

Candidate with SAP knowledge or working experience in SSC environment

Candidate flexible to support different time zone (7 am – 4 pm)

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Able to handle tight timeline

Action oriented, with good analytical skills
