Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking an Accounting Manager in Petaling Jaya to lead the client servicing function. You will act as a trusted advisor on accounting and financial matters for SME clients.

You will manage a portfolio, oversee deliverables, and mentor a team of accounting professionals to ensure high service standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 5 years of accounting or client accounting services experience.
• Solid knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting.
• Ability to coach and develop a team.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or CA are advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME client accounts and serve as the primary point of contact for accounting-related matters.
• Review financial statements, management accounts, and accounting work prepared by the team to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Plan resources effectively and allocate assignments across the team.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and on-the-job training to develop team members' technical competencies.
• Review work performed by clients' accounting personnel and provide recommendations for improvement where necessary.
• Monitor staff performance and support their professional development.
• Track work progress and ensure all deliverables are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.
