Job summary

MVC Resources Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced accounting leader to head the accounting team, oversee service delivery across a client portfolio, and serve as the senior point of contact for client relationships and governance.

You will review complex accounting matters, guide the team, manage client relationships and ensure compliance with standards. Mandarin proficiency is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients, and prior SME/construction sector experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting/finance with ACCA/CIMA/MIA qualification.
• At least 5 years' relevant experience including team management.
• Experience with SME portfolios; construction industry preferred.
• Proficient in Mandarin (spoken and written) to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end accounting service delivery for the department's client portfolio.
• Review complex accounting matters and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Own key client relationships, including escalations and strategic discussions.
• Manage team capacity, performance, and development.

Job Summary Lead the Accounting team, oversee service delivery across the client portfolio, and act as the senior point of contact for client relationships and internal process governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end accounting service delivery for the department's client portfolio
  
• Review complex accounting matters and provide technical guidance to the team
  
• Own key client relationships, including escalations and strategic discussions

• Ensure department practices align with accounting standards and firm policies
  
• Report to senior management on department performance and client matters
  

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting/Finance; professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/MIA) required
  
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience, including team management experience
  
• Strong track record managing SME client portfolios / Construction industry
  
• Preferably with Management Services background
  
• Proficient in Mandarin (spoken and written) to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients
  
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
