Job summary

GOO KEE SENG TRADING is seeking an Assistant Account Manager to join the Finance & Accounts team in Kuala Lumpur. The role covers daily accounting operations, AP/AR, and preparing financial reports with support for tax and statutory compliance.

You will assist with month-end closing, data entry, reconciliations, and preparation of management reports. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Familiar with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Good knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and debit/credit notes.
• Monitor customer outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
• Verify supplier invoices and ensure payments are processed accurately and on time.
• Prepare month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and other accounting adjustments.
• Assist with monthly management reports and aging reports for receivables and payables.
• Assist with documents for corporate tax, SST, withholding tax, and other statutory requirements.
• Perform data entry for sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and general journals.
• Prepare bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
