OM Materials (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd is seeking an Accounts Executive to support the finance team in Sarawak. The role emphasizes processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and maintaining accurate accounts payable records.

Mandarin fluency is preferred for communication with foreign employees and vendors. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accountancy and has 1–2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
• Mandarin fluency preferred for communication with foreign employees/vendors.
• 1–2 years of working experience required.

Responsabilités

• Report to Accountant.
• Assist in processing incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy and appropriate approvals.
• Assist in reconcile vendor accounts against supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in adjust accruals for expenses incurred but not invoiced and reverse any unnecessary accruals.
• Handle daily documentation and proper filing system to ensure documents are traceable efficiently.
• Perform day-to-day processing of accounts payable transactions to maintain municipal finances up-to-date and accurate; includes receiving and verifying invoices and requisitions with valid tax invoices.
• Maintain listing of accounts payable and general ledger.
• Maintain updated vendor files and file numbers.
• Perform monthly accounts payable reconciliation.
• Meet deadlines and take initiatives based on understanding of processes, systems, functions and timelines.
• Provide support to team members to ensure goals are attained on time.
• Perform any ad-hoc assignments from superiors.
