OM Materials (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Finance/Accountancy professional to support monthly closing, reporting, and compliance in Sarawak. You will prepare P&L, balance sheets, and forex calculations while coordinating with auditors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Finance/Accountancy or ACCA/CPA/CIMA, at least 3 years of experience, and Mandarin fluency is preferred for communication with foreign employees and vendors.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Fluency in Mandarin preferred for communication with foreign employees/vendors.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares monthly financial closing with P&L and balance sheet and related schedules.
• Prepares monthly forex calculations and reporting.
• Produces internal and external monthly/quarterly/yearly reports including budget vs actual.
• Reviews monthly AP and bank reconciliations.
• Liaises with external auditors for half-yearly and annual audits.

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepares and plans for monthly financial closing process to ensure compliance with Approved Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards and to meet reporting timeline set by Group finance which including prepare set of profit & loss, balance sheet, detail profit & loss and balance sheet and all relevant working as require;

Prepares monthly forex calculation;

Assists in preparing all types of internal and external reporting on monthly, quarterly, half yearly or on yearly basis including comparison actual vs budget;

Conducts study and research on updates on accounting standards or changes to law or regulations and its impact to financial statements, prepare write up and process flow on recognition;

Reviews of monthly AP and bank reconciliation;

Submits monthly management accounts including budget vs actual comparison to management;

Assists in liaise with external auditor for half yearly and yearly audit, including audit timeline, preempt issues to management/ group, research for proposed solution for accounting and auditing issue raise by auditor;

Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accountancy or professional qualifications in ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent recognized by MIA.

Candidates must possessed at least 3 years of working experience in related field.

Fluency in Mandarin is preferred as the role is required to communicate with foreign employees/vendors.
