Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an entry-level Finance/Accounts Assistant in Kuala Lumpur to support daily accounting tasks and ensure accurate financial records.

You will assist with accounts, month-end closings, reporting, and liaise with internal departments to maintain financial integrity in a fast-paced environment. Fresh graduates with up to 2 years' experience are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Fresh graduates or up to 2 years' experience encouraged.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Excel; accounting software/ERP experience is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to learn, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organizational and time management skills; meet deadlines.
  • Team player with good communication; able to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Record daily accounting transactions and maintain financial records.
  • Support the Finance team with full set of accounts including month-end/ year-end closings.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Perform bank, supplier, customer, and General Ledger reconciliations.
  • Prepare and organise accounting documents, invoices, vouchers, and records.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits by preparing schedules and docs.
  • Assist in statutory reports and other finance-related documentation.
  • Ensure accounting records and documents are accurate and compliant.
  • Liaise with internal departments to obtain finance information.
  • Perform other finance, accounting, and admin duties as assigned.

  • Prepare and organise accounting documents, invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting records for proper filing.

  • Assist in coordinating internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and compiling supporting documents.

  • Support the preparation of statutory reports and other finance-related documentation.

  • Ensure accounting records and financial documents are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Liaise with internal departments to obtain information required for finance-related matters.

  • Perform other finance, accounting, and administrative duties as assigned by Management.
