Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Finance/Accounting Associate in Kuala Lumpur. You will record daily accounting transactions, support month-end closing, and prepare monthly financial reports.

Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply. Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (ACCA/CPA/CIMA are a plus), strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is an added advantage.
  • Detail-oriented with good numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to learn, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating with colleagues across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Record daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Support Finance team in managing full set of accounts, including month-end and year-end closing.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Perform bank, supplier, customer, and GL reconciliations.
  • Prepare and organize accounting documents, invoices, and supporting records.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and documents.
  • Assist in statutory reports and other finance-related documentation.
  • Ensure records and documents are accurate and compliant with policies.
  • Liaise with internal departments to obtain required information for finance matters.
  • Perform other finance, accounting, and admin duties as assigned.

  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis.

  • Perform bank, supplier, customer, and General Ledger reconciliations.

  • Prepare and organise accounting documents, invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting records for proper filing.

  • Assist in coordinating internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and compiling supporting documents.

  • Support the preparation of statutory reports and other finance-related documentation.

  • Ensure accounting records and financial documents are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Liaise with internal departments to obtain information required for finance-related matters.

  • Perform other finance, accounting, and administrative duties as assigned by Management.
