Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a diligent finance associate in Kuala Lumpur to join our accounting team. You will assist in recording daily transactions and maintaining precise financial records, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and preparing monthly reports and budgets.

This role suits fresh graduates or those with up to two years of relevant experience, offering exposure to ERP systems and career growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
  • ACCA/CPA/CIMA qualifications are an advantage.
  • Fresh graduates or up to 2 years' experience encouraged.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software/ERP an advantage.
  • Detail-oriented with strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to learn in a fast-paced environment; good time management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in recording daily accounting transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Support the Finance team in managing the full set of accounts, including month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Perform bank, supplier, customer, and General Ledger reconciliations.
  • Prepare and organise accounting documents, invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting records for proper filing.
  • Assist in coordinating internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and compiling supporting documents.
  • Support the preparation of statutory reports and other finance-related documentation.
  • Ensure accounting records and financial documents are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with internal departments to obtain information required for finance-related matters.
  • Perform other finance, accounting, and administrative duties as assigned by Management.
