Job summary

Shift4 is seeking an Accountant for the APAC region to support day-to-day financial operations, cash management, and reporting within a global organization. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring accurate processing, strong controls, and timely reporting.

This role reports directly to the AP Manager and offers exposure to regional finance operations in a multinational environment. Hybrid work arrangement with regional collaboration expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Accounting, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Cash Management, or SSC.
• Experience in multinational or SSC environment.
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, month-end close, and financial processes.
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, employee expense claims, and intercompany transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Coordinate approval workflows and ensure timely payment execution.
• Maintain vendor master data and support supplier account management activities.
• Resolve Travel & Expense inquiries while adhering to company policies.
• Support daily Accounts Payable activities and contribute to process improvements.
• Manage daily cash operations and monitor cash positions.
• Support weekly cashflow forecasting and liquidity planning.
• Process banking transactions and maintain banking records.
• Assist with SOX compliance documentation and liaison with auditors.

AccountsPayable&ExpenseManagement

• Processsupplierinvoices,employeeexpenseclaims,andintercompanytransactionsaccuratelyandefficiently.

• Coordinateapprovalworkflowsandensuretimelypaymentexecution.

• Maintainvendormasterdataandsupportsupplieraccountmanagementactivities.

Treasury&CashManagement

FinancialControls,Compliance&Tax

• SupportMalaysiae-InvoicingsubmissionsthroughtheLHDNportal.

• Manageintercompanybillingandsettlementprocesses.

• PrepareandmaintainSOXcompliancedocumentationandcontrolevidence.

• Liaisewithauditors,bankers,andexternalserviceproviderstosupportcompliancerequirements.

Month-EndClosing&Reporting

• Executemonth-endcloseactivities,includingjournalpostings,accruals,andaccountreconciliations.

• Assistwithfinancialreportingandbalancesheetreviews.

• Supportyear-endauditpreparationandcoordinateauditrequests.

BusinessPartnering&ContinuousImprovement

• Actasakeypointofcontactforfinance-relatedenquiries.

• CollaboratewithstakeholdersacrossFinance,Operations,IT,Processing,andSales.

• Contributetoprocessoptimization,automationinitiatives,andcontinuousimprovementprojects.

• Supportadhocfinanceprojectsandbusinessinitiativesasrequired.

EssentialQualifications&Experience

• Bachelor’sDegreeinFinance,Accounting,Business,orarelateddiscipline.

• Minimum2-3yearsofexperienceinAccounting,AccountsPayable,Treasury,CashManagement,orSharedServicesFinance.

• PreviousexperiencewithinaMultinationalCorporation(MNC)orSharedServicesCentre(SSC)environment.

• Solidunderstandingofreconciliations,month-endcloseactivities,andfinancialprocesses.

• Strongattentiontodetailandabilitytomanagemultipleprioritiesinafast-pacedenvironment.

• ExcellentEnglishcommunicationandstakeholdermanagementskills.

PreferredQualifications

• ACCA,CPA,MIA,orequivalentprofessionalqualification(completedorinprogress).

• ExperiencewithinaBigFouraccountingfirmorexternalauditenvironment.

• KnowledgeofSOXcontrolsandcomplianceframeworks.
