Job summary

Hap Seng Fertilizers Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting operations for the Fertilizers business, including reporting and compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in Accounting, professional qualifications preferred, 3–5 years of experience, and strong MS Office skills; the successful candidate will work closely with auditors and the finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent; professional qualification adds advantage.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounts payable or accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (MFRS/IFRS).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Analytical, proactive and able to work in a team or independently.
• Full-time position at Menara Hap Seng, Jalan P. Ramlee KL.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of accounting for the Fertilizers business and reporting.
• Assist in divisional reporting and statutory reporting.
• Prepare and submit Monthly Management Reports, Quarterly Reports, and Country-By-Country reporting.
• Process accounts payable activities, verify and post transactions promptly.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and creditor reconciliations; follow up discrepancies.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors; provide records and working papers.
• Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks as required by supervisor.

Job description

Responsible for day-to-day operations of overall accounting functions and reporting for Fertilizers business.

Assist in divisional reporting and statutory reporting.

Responsible for the preparation and submission of Monthly Management Reports, Quarterly Reports, Country-By-Country Reporting and etc.

Perform day-to-day processing of accounts payable function including verifying and posting transactions in a timely manner.

Prepare bank reconciliation and creditor reconciliation as well as to identify and follow up on the discrepancies.

To liaise closely with internal and external auditors as well as furnish relevant accounting records and working papers.

Perform ad-hoc assignments as and when required by the superior.

Job Requirements

Candidates must have Bachelor Degree in Accounting or its equivalent. Professional Qualification in Accounting (i.e.: ACCA, MIA etc) or progress towards certification will be an added advantage.

Preferably candidates with minimum 3-5 years of working experience in accounts payable or accounting related matters for this position.

Strong knowledge of accounting standards (MFRS/ IFRS).

Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.

Analytical, proactive and able to work in a team as well as independently.

Full-time position is available at Menara Hap Seng, Jalan P. Ramlee KL.

Working Hour

Monday to Thursday: 9am - 6pm

Friday: 9am - 5.30pm

Saturday (Alternate): 9am - 12.30pm
