Job summary

TERAPUTICS SDN BHD is seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant & Accounts Clerk to join our accounting team in Penang. The successful candidate will assist with daily accounting operations, data entry, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation and general accounting administration, while maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, and training will be provided to improve skills in SST, tax and audit

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Previous accounting experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of accounting software is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Process and record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
• Perform accounting data entry and maintain proper accounting records.
• Prepare and issue Sales Invoices, Purchase Invoices, Sales Orders and Purchase Orders.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Follow up on customer invoices and outstanding payments.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliation and assist in resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare payment vouchers, receipts, invoices and other supporting documents.
• Assist in posting journal entries and maintaining general ledger records.
• Assist in preparing monthly accounting reports and financial statements.
• Assist with filing and maintaining accounting documents and records.
• Assist with SST, tax and audit documentation when required.
• Support the accounting team with daily accounting and administrative tasks.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers and internal departments regarding accounting matters.
